If only, a little less than two centuries ago, we had found ourselves in a place like this, we would have struggled a lot to imagine that instead of splendid specimens of thoroughbred horses, we would have admired two newlyweds intent on celebrating their wedding. We are in the open countryside, a stone’s throw from Bracciano, in a splendid estate that houses the stables of Prince Odescalchi. Giulia and Alessio, the spouses, have chosen this location, with a slightly country flavor, but no less elegant and refined, to celebrate their wedding, a wedding at the Antiche Scuderie Odescalchi.
Where were the premises that housed the best equine specimens selected by the Prince, three large rooms connected to each other, recall in the name their original intended use. Salone delle Carrozze, delle Selle, delle Briglie, but besides the name and the size of the spaces, nothing could suggest that once there were “stables” here, so much attention is paid to the setting and the smallest detail. furnishings of the rooms, also embellished by two large fireplaces and a beautiful truss ceiling. The spacious interiors and the presence of fireplaces offer the possibility of setting up a ceremony even in winter which will certainly give the atmosphere more warmth and intimacy.
Giulia and Alessio preferred not to take risks and decided to celebrate their wedding at the Antiche Scuderie Odescalchi in a more lenient season. But sometimes the weather, as they say, plays bad jokes and, to the bride’s consolation, according to the old saying “wet bride, lucky bride”, just during the ceremony it rained. Giulia and Alessio, however, did not lose heart. Too excited and too happy to let that unwanted rain ruin the party. So here they are in love and smiling under a large umbrella to protect themselves from the rain of water and rice that fell on them, to discover that even a marriage with rain has its seduction.
Giulia and Alessio are two lively and passionate people. Travel, distant countries, Japan above all, board games are among their passions, so they thought of sharing them symbolically with the guests, organizing virtual itineraries for the assignment of tables and involving them with games that everyone has lent themselves to. willingly, even having fun. The demonstration that even a marriage in the rain can be lived intensely and in joy only if the soul is ready to take the beauty and the good that is in everything, even on an unexpected rainy day.
In the end, however, even the sun wanted to make a gift to the newlyweds and in the afternoon it offered all its light to allow them to take truly emotional and spontaneous photographic shots.
Very special thanks are due to this beautiful couple for choosing me for their wedding at Antiche Scuderie Odescalchi!
