Over the years, my work has led me to travel really far. From England to Greece, from Portugal to Switzerland, all the way to Jordan. This time, however, photography took me to Turkey, on the occasion of Tanya and Rahul’s Bodrum wedding. A multi-day event, at Turkey’s most exclusive resort, a dream location named Amanruya.
In fact, Amanruya means “Turkish Dream,” and it is just inside a dream that it feels like being there. Built on a hill overlooking the Aegean Sea, this resort is immediately striking for its architecture spirited by Ottoman design. So it is not hard to understand why this couple chose Amanruya as the venue for their Bodrum wedding.
Tanya and Rahul are a couple I will never forget. Their beauty and elegance is clearly visible for all to see but what impressed me the most without a doubt is their kindness, politeness and the special relationship they have not only with each other but with all their loved ones. Indeed, these days at Amanruya have been about love and friendship. An opportunity for Tanya and Rahul to spend days in the company of the most important people, from all over the world and for once all together.
The first day in Amanruya was for the main ceremony, while the second and third days were dedicated to India (the groom’s native country) and its traditions. The Mendhi, with its iconic Henna tattoos, and the Sangeet, an occasion for greeting, singing and drinking together.
So it is time to tell you about these days in Turkey through my photographs. I hope you can feel the unique atmosphere throughout the time we spent during this wedding at the Amanruya.
