Anirudh Pisharody is an Indian-born actor, best known for starring in some American TV series such as “Have I Ever” (2020), “Big Sky” (2020) and “9-1-1” (2018). Jil, on the other hand, is of Chinese descent and is a film director and producer. They met in their college days in California in 2014 and have not left each other since then.
Those who follow my work by now know that cinema is my greatest inspiration, which is why being chosen as the wedding photographer of two personalities in this field was immediately a source of pride and satisfaction for me. Anirudh and Jil chose Italy for their wedding, in particular the majestic Castello di Bracciano, a location I know really well and where I always work with pleasure.
There were even 3 ceremonies this time. A Chinese one because of the bride’s origins, an Indian one in honor of the groom, and a Western one given the location chosen for their wedding. The initial rain then gave way to a wonderful rainbow and sunset light so warm and poetic that we were able to take some really striking couple portraits.
It was a truly extraordinary event, and it was a welcome surprise for me to know that for the second time, my work was published in the iconic magazine Vogue.
