When Anita proposed me the idea of doing a shoot with a black dress, I was initially skeptical. I’ve never been a great lover of shooting, just think about doing one with a black dress. But then, when she told me that I would have carte blanche to create something different from the usual, which reflected my style and recalled the cinema, I had to accept!
We then started to jot down ideas:
Some time ago, almost by chance, I came across an abandoned monastery and fell in love with it. The location had to be that!
For the flowers I thought of very warm shades, a color palette inspired by that of Blade Runner 2049.
Shooting in a dark place with a black dress would not have been easy, so we were looking for a model with a bright hair color, who could possibly match the tones of the flowers. Found it.
And that’s how after postponing it twice due to lockdown, a wonderful team and I met on a gloomy April morning to carry out a project I will love for ever.
