As a wedding photographer with several years in the business, I have had so many opportunities to visit Tuscany, chosen, and this is more than understandable, by so many couples, both Italian and especially foreign, as the ideal place to celebrate their wedding. I have seen so many of enchanting villages, magnificent landscapes, residences and villas that it would be reductive to call simply beautiful.
Yet each new encounter turns out to be a surprise each time, almost as if the wonder of this land had no end. This wedding at Villa Catignano, if any were needed, confirms that. Villa Catignano, in Castelnuovo Berardenga is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area of Siena, in an ideal location because it is not far from centers of the highest tourist interest: Siena just eight kilometers away, Florence, Arezzo, San Gimignano. And it is above all a historic residence (built in the 17th century) that has as its strong point the surrounding area, an expanse as far as the eye can see of hills, rows of vines, olive trees, fruit trees and, of course, the characteristic Tuscan cypresses.
From the top of its splendid Italian garden (the villa is built on a hill) you can let your gaze run almost as if you were standing in front of a soft epidermis of a deep, bright green, embellished with a mole: it is Siena that is admired in this visual seduction in all its extension. As a wedding location in Tuscany, Villa Catignano could not offer more because it combines the unquestionable elegance of the villa and the garden with the rural and peasant dimension, no less seductive though, of the stables, the farm, and the vat-house that give the entire complex an authentic flavor of authenticity.
For this reason, too, Sara and Daniele, two young people who are very sensitive and therefore attentive to every form of life around them, imagined their wedding at Villa Catignano as the wedding location in Tuscany most in tune with their nature and most responsive to their expectations. They were not disappointed. The beautiful courtyard in front of the farmhouse, decorated with a striking light installation , the two long imperial tables arranged as in a country feast, but expertly set with a refinement that, though studied, did not turn out to be prissy, and as a final gift, a sunset, which everyone counted on, but which filled everyone with awe for its extraordinary beauty.
