Cristina and Nicola are two elegant, sensitive and reserved guys. Since our first meeting they told me about their difficulty to be in front of the lens and their desire to live a day like the wedding without being exaggeratedly the center of attention.
That’s why I decided to photograph this event with an approach that was as documentary as possible and to tell the story I chose the use of black and white. I am a lover of color but sometimes eliminating it also eliminates any distraction and you can better focus on the emotion.
The result is one of my favorite reportages ever, thanks also to the beautiful setting of Istituto Nazionale di Studi Romani.
