I met Michael more than 10 years ago on the occasion of an event I photographed in Polignano a Mare. After a long time we met again, but this time together with his future wife Barbara, for their maternity photos.

I was therefore very happy when they told me that they absolutely wanted me as their wedding photographer in La Librata, Terracina. I had never been to La Librata, although I had always heard a lot of good about it and I must say that my expectations were not disappointed: a very elegant place with a breathtaking view.

Both Barbara and Michael got ready in the beautiful rooms that the Librata offers, which is always very comfortable for everyone, while the ceremony was celebrated outdoors in front of a splendid millenary carob tree. I must admit that photographing the ceremony this time was a real challenge for me, the light conditions were not ideal, patches of shade and sun all over the place due to the branches right in front of the light source.

A classic approach would have involved the use of flash to lighten the shadows but those who know me know that the classic approach is not for me, I prefer to try to overcome the limits and overturn a difficult situation by bringing it in my favor. This is how I decided to be patient and careful to see those short but intense cuts of light that made the scene even more pictorial and impactful. This choice allowed me not to interfere with the event with continuous flashes but above all it meant that some of my favorite photos of a ceremony ever came out.

The reception then continued with a fun aperitif, a beautiful dinner overlooking the sea and a very romantic first dance

A special thanks to this wonderful couple for choosing me as their wedding photographer in La Librata.
