A few days ago I returned from Palermo, where I held my last wedding photography workshop before the start of the season.
This was not the first time my work had taken me to beautiful Sicily, but until now I had only been to beautiful Taormina for Claudia & Dean’s wedding and had already fallen in love with it. As soon as I arrived in Palermo, however, I realized that all those colors, noises and smells I had fallen in love with were amplified here. I have been to many places in the world but I must say that the soul of Palermo and its strong personality, really struck me.
For the couple photos taken during my workshop, we chose the Ballarò Market, one of the most iconic places in the Sicilian capital and probably in all of Italy. It was not easy to shoot through these alleys but as it happened also in the workshop I held in Naples, I tried to bring these elements of chaos in my favor, so that, Marta and Mirko’s couple photos could really “smell of Sicily.”
